Hopefully with better weather to come, our thoughts turn to outside projects. We will, in the next couple of months, complete the Riverside Walkway. Our next big project will then be a Keep Fit Trail around Rautawhiri Park.
This month we donated funds to the South Kaipara Youth Trust and Youthline Special Olympics Waitakere. Also bought a washing machine for a needy family.
As a Club we have participated in Operation Christmas Child. Donors are asked to fill a shoe box size, with gifts suitable for various ages of children.
They are then sent out to the Islands to make a very special Christmas for those children who have never received a gift. Such a worthwhile cause.
Bring your children along to the Catholic Church Hall on 17 September. We are holding “Pop Up” Childrens/Teens Books and Games S ale. Refreshments available. See you there.
