NEW!: Due to customer requests, from September 7, we will be trailing Rhymetime sessions at Helensville Library.
Rhymetime provides music, movement and action rhymes to pre-schoolers and their caregivers. It is aimed at 18 months to 3 years, but older and younger pre-schoolers are welcome.
We’re not sure when the best time for these sessions will be, so we’re trailing a few different times and days:
Wednesdays 10.30am-11am
Thursdays 11.30am-12noon
Thursdays 2pm-2.30pm
Come along to whichever session, or sessions, suit.
Roald Dahl Day! Tuesday 13 September
Celebrate the 100th anniversary of Roald Dahl’s birth with a day of activities to do at the library, or to take home.
Come along between 3 and 4 pm and listen to some Roald Dahl stories and rhymes. Vote NOW for your favourite Roald Dahl children’s book. We will announce the winner on Wednesday 14 September on our Facebook page.

Drop-in activities: Weekdays, 11am-12noon and 2-3pm

Take home activities: As well as our timed-events, we have activities you can do in the library or take home.
Soft toy sleepover – Friday 23 September, 4pm-5pm
Bring along a soft toy (but not one you need at night) to a special evening storytime. Your toy will stay overnight at the library. And library staff will take photos of the fun.
Saturday 24 September, 10am-11am
Pick up your toy and photos from their night’s activities.
