The 2016 Matariki Exhibition at the Art Centre, Helensville, will see a whole variety of artists exhibiting including James Ballantyne who has created huge stunning life-like images and a piece called Te Kohu by Hemi Kiwikiwi which demonstrates the earth painting skills he acquired whilst living amongst Aboriginal people. The exhibition runs July 2nd-30th in the basement of the War Memorial Hall, 49 Commercial Road and is open Tuesday-Friday 10am to 4.30pm, Saturday 10am to 3pm.
