Lots of swimming to start our year. Every student from Year 0 to Year 8 swims with their class for half an hour a day. In the last two weeks our Year 0 to 3 students put on a display of their skills for their parents and community. Our Year 3 and 4 classes participated in a swimming sports carnival as did our Seniors (Year 5 to 8) Our Year 8 swimming champions this year are Aria Morehu and Hayden Jones (pictured with principal Tony Westrupp). Our swimmers are gaining in confidence every year, with us adding butterfly races to our competition.
Next Friday our Year 5 to 8 students will compete in either a triathlon or Duathlon (swim and run only).
