Kaukapakapa Area Residents and Ratepayers Association (KARRA) are hosting a Spring Fling barn dance as part of a fundraiser to help with a number of community projects they are working on. Currently KARRA are raising funds to construct a playground for the community behind the Kaukapakapa Hall and develop a village green for community events. There are no public playgrounds in Kaukapakapa and the community has been unable to get the Council to build one after 10 years of requests. The group needs to raise close to $200,000 for this project. Also, look out for an upcoming summer Family Fun Day at Sinclair Park as a follow up event.
