Kia Mâiate Whai – Dare to Explore, from Monday 12 December:
Sign up for ‘Kia Mâiate Whai – Dare to Explore’, Auckland Libraries’ FREE summer reading programme for ages 5-13, at 54 libraries across Auckland – starts Monday 12 December.
During the summer reading programme period, we will running pop-up / drop-in events time Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10.30am-11.30am and 2pm-3pm. Each session will focus on a different challenge set. There may be kitchen chemistry experiments. Or some craft. Maybe some poetry. All to support our tamariki in earning their challenge stamps and stickers. Drop in and see.
We will be suspending our preschool sessions during the summer reading programme period, restarting in February.
Over January, we will be looking into which sessions and times are working for customers. If you have pre-schoolers who already attend, or might attend, any of our sessions – we’d love your thoughts and feedback. Christmas / New Year closures:
Helensville Library will be open until 4pm Saturday 24 December and will reopen at 9.30am Wednesday 4 January 2017. No library items will be due during this time. The overnight return slot will be open, so you can return items during the closure period.
