Hvl Primary SchAbraham Dyer, personal trainer and sports coach from 808 House of Training, has just finished a six-week program working with twenty of our Maori boys at Helensville Primary School.  The boys were between the ages of 10-13.  The program consisted of leadership development, sports skills, fitness, life skills and teamwork.
Abe demonstrated the highest expectations for the boys he worked with.  He regularly acknowledged those boys who transferred the skills they were working on with him, such as working hard and pers
evering, into the classroom.

Here’s what some of the boys had to say about this special, challenging programme:
Rereahu Year 8, “I have increased my stamina.  Abe helps teach us about our future.  When we are training, he treats us like adults, not children.”
Moses Year 8, “It’s tiring, but it’s really cool fun.  Abe teaches us to train the hard way not the easy way.  No shortcuts!”
Dre Year 8, “My fitness has improved heaps and my rugby has too!  Abe is teaching us about discipline.”
Jay Year 8, “Abe is pushing us to the limit!  He is teaching us how to be a real man. If we cheat, we are only cheating ourselves!”
Chase Year 6, “Abe told us on the first day, that he will be treating us like adults, not children”
Niko Year 6, “Abe pushes us to the limits.  It’s challenging and gets harder and harder every week.  Abe is serious but fun.”
Jaden Year 6, “I enjoy everything! Abe teaches us discipline, mana and leadership.”
