South Kaipara Rotary has come to town and are looking for members. If you are new to the area and want to meet new people and get involved with projects in your community, then a service club like Rotary may be for you.
South Kaipara Rotary Club is a Satellite Club of Henderson Rotary, the largest Rotary Club in the district and are being supported by them till the club can fully stand on its own so we need you to help. In the few months since it was formed it has undertaken local projects and supported locals which include
· Ongoing maintenance for Parakai Kindergarten
· Digging up Kanuka’s on a local property propagate and sell to raise funds for the club
· Pruning Nashi Pears ready for picking and sale in February
· Financial help for a youth to go on Spirit of Adventure
· Supporting the Helensville Christmas Dinner
· Sponsoring Christmas Decoration classes at the Art Centre
· And we are looking for more projects. Do you have something in mind that South Kaipara Rotary can help with?
Rotary also helps with projects in emerging countries as well. Perhaps its greatest claim to fame is the partnering with WHO and Gates Foundation to eradicate Polio worldwide. A massive undertaking, so now there are only two countries with wild polio present and they are both suffering the spoils of war.
