We have had our first Business Meeting of our new Lions year and Committees have started planning how their year will pan out.
The Fundraising Committee are planning an additional Children’s Book Sale in the Catholic Church Hall on 17th September. We will hold our usual monthly sausage sizzle and book sale at the Kaukapakapa Market.
Our contribution to the children’s “Round the World” cooking classes held at Te Whara Oranga a Parakai, have proved so successful, that students attend from both Parakai and Helensville schools.
Some of our members visited Waimauku Lions to meet our new Vice District Governor.
This year we donated a record $44,000 to a large variety of local projects and requirements.
