Local resident Kiri Abraham uses her experiences of Motherhood and her love for the natural world as inspiration for her new body of work, titled ‘Safe Houses’, soon to be exhibited at Art Centre Helensville. Although she studied Textile and Surface Design at University, drawing has remained her favoured medium due to its immediacy and variability. Her works take months to complete, being comprised of tiny, repetitive marks, which form large organic structures. Show runs Aug 6 (opening: 3.30-5.30pm) – Aug 27 at Art Centre Helensville.
