How is your time management?
It is always interesting how we seem to run out of time to do things. We seem to be busy, yet most of us own time saving devices. We can rush from one thing to the other, and then wonder where our time has gone at the end of the day.
If you find this is a problem, try writing down where your time is going each day. Things like mobile phones and devices can seem like they are saving us time but can in fact rob us of time. It is easy to get caught up on a device and then an hour later still be mucking around on something that you probably hadn’t even planned on doing. So it becomes an interesting exercise writing down where our time disappears too. When you have come up with a list, then figure out what you feel is acceptable on your list and what needs to change. If there is something that you are spending far too much time on with no real outcome, try and eliminate it or give yourself a block of time so you don’t feel you are missing out. For example, if you feel you are spending too much time on your device on social media, don’t rob yourself and say that you can’t do it anymore, but give yourself a time limit. Block out an amount of time you are willing to give to this pastime.
Recording where you time goes is always an interesting exercise, as you might find, that things that really have little or no value to you might be getting a lot of your time and the things that are high value to you might not. In fact, you might be thinking you genuinely don’t have enough hours in the day to achieve your high value goals.
We had a super time at the Dream Board Workshop. Watch out for upcoming workshops.
For the last six months I have been doing fishing research at Shelly Beach. If you see me there in a high vis vest be sure to come and say hello. It is great to be meeting with so many local people as well as lots travelling from West Auckland. It has become very social and a great pastime with the fabulous weather and great fishing we have been having.
Have a super month.
