Kicks off with Ceramic Artist Ann Crane at 7pm on Monday March 14. Ann has been shortlisted for the prestigious Portage Award four times and has a very unique approach to her work, producing such things as a ceramic wedding cake, a basket of Pipi , hard and even ‘soft’ toys!
Next off we have Jayne Thomas, infamous for taking a blowtorch to her work to create genuine distressed paint effects. Jayne lives in Helensville and has produced some really lyrical works. Monday March 28th at 7pm.
Sally Lush, multi-faceted artist, curator of many sculpture events as well as the Kaipara Coast Sculpture Trail and now also the new Manager to the Art Centre will give a talk at 7pm Monday April 11th.
Talks are sponsored through funding from the Creative Communities Scheme.
All talks will be held in the new Art Centre in the basement of the Helensville War Memorial Hall, entry and parking off of Porter Crescent. For more information call Pauline on 021 158 6859 or email coordinator@artcentrehelensville.org.nz
