Our BBQ Trailer was at the Classic Car Show, the Kaukapkapa Christmas Market as well as our 2 day Book Fair.
At the Kaipara College Prize Giving, we were proud to present our Lions ‘Speech Makers’ Cup and a cheque to Sabrina Evans. Well done to her. We presented West Auckland Hospice Shop with a shed made by Oikoumene, to assist them with their storage.
We gave a donation to assist a family with medical expenses for their very sick son. Women and Family received a donation towards Christmas Hampers for needy families. We also donated to Camp Quality for their Summer Camp. We sponsored Helensville Primary School to have their Mathletics programme for 3 years – a great boost for all students to help with Maths.
At our Social meetings, we had an interesting talk by 2 of our members on their difficult time in Christchurch during the earthquake, and the Eden Park Historian told us about the beginnings of Eden Park and how it has developed over the years. It started life as a swamp!!
