On Friday 4th December all of the 60 HIPPY South Kaipara families were invited to attend the annual HIPPY Graduation ceremony in the Helensville Community Hall.
HIPPY stands for ‘Home Interaction Programme for Parents and Youngsters’ and provides parents with the support and resources to help their children get off to a good start to school.
Children who had completed the full two-year/60 week course were the stars of the evening and received framed certificates acknowledging their efforts wearing their graduation robes and hats. All of the other children also received certificates and gifts acknowledging their hard work.
Children who are between 3 ½ and 4 ½ as at February next year are the perfect age to start the programme. Contact coordinator Bernie Malizia on 420 7434 or 021 0220 6017 for more information.
