The Lions Club of Helensville is once again holding their popular Christmas Book Fair in November, Saturday 21st 9am to 4pm and Sunday 22nd 10am to 3pm.This follows on from their phenomenally successful book fair in May, where a record $8,000 was raised for use in the local community. The excellent clearance achieved at the Autumn Fair plus the large number of newly donated books arriving daily will ensure an exciting fresh look to the Christmas Fair.
The books cover as wide a range of subjects as it is possible to imagine, and Helensville Lions pride themselves on making your browsing as effortless as possible by grouping the books by areas of popular interest and by author.
Nonfiction is split into twenty separate categories, including one dedicated to New Zealand subjects, still leaving a large general nonfiction section to search through.
Fiction is arranged in alphabetical order, with six special interest groups, the largest of which is fantasy novels, which has over 1,000 titles.
Books are priced to sell with paperbacks at $1, hardbacks at $2.00and all children’s books 50c. There is also a good selection of jigsaws, board games, puzzles, LPs, Videos, DVDs, CDs and quality magazines.
All funds raised are for the Lions Club of Helensville Charitable Trust, and are to be used for the benefit of the local community.
