2015 will see a new beginning for cricket in the local area, with the forming of Kaukapakapa Cricket Club.
The last couple of months of summer saw a group of adults & kids playing some twilight cricket at Sinclair Park, this culminated in a 20/20 tournament with sponsorship from local businesses including Pak N Save. All had an amazing day and $1500 was raised which has been used to purchase a bowling machine & kids equipment ready for the upcoming season.
There will be kids registration on the 20th & 21st of Sept 3-5pm at Sinclair Park, Kaukapakapa, and is open to all school age kids from the surrounding areas. An adult 20/20 twilight league will also be started utilising Sinclair Park and Helensville pitches.
