Organising of the Christmas Community lunch has begun and many thanks to those who have already donated home preserves of jams, chutneys and bottled fruit. This will form part of the Christmas food boxes that will be handed out to families on Christmas Day. They usually find very grateful homes so this is so much appreciated. Also, at this time many citrus fruits are being harvested, so if some extra jars of marmalade could perhaps be made for the Christmas boxes we will be so grateful.
The Helensville Hospice Shop on Mill Road has been very helpful and any donations of the above may be dropped off there between Monday – Friday 10am – 3:30pm and Saturdays 10am – 1:45pm.
