It has been one year since the tiny historic Kaukapakapa Library was re-opened to Kaukapakapa Library one year
the public and we would like to thank all those who have so generously contributed to the collection of records the library now has on the area including photographs, minute books and information dating back to the early settlers. We would also like to thank all those who have taken the time to come along to the library to share their knowledge of the area with our visitors.
The library now has a significant collection of historic information which will be enjoyed by generations to come and our gratitude and very special thanks has to go to the Jordan Family who have contributed an exceptional collection of photographs which can now be viewed and enjoyed by the public each month at the library, the Henley family who originally started the library and who have supported the re-opening and Louise Michaux for providing valuable historic information.
The events held at the library each month including exhibitions, authors and book readings have been well attended and the donations we have received from those attending has enabled us to re-instate the library sign on the front of the building. A big thank you to Sarah at Xplode Signage who has done an excellent job of the new sign and to all those who donated and made this happen.
