You will no doubt have seen us out and about this month working on the Riverside Walk. We are extending the footpath from Creek Lane to where we left off below the old Post Office. It is a lovely walk so please do use it.
We had our first meetings with our new Committees and lots of ideas have been put forward for future projects. If you become aware of somewhere/someone where Lions can help out, please let us know.
At our Social meeting, Nick Roberts, Deputy Head of Kaipara College, spoke to us about a new initiative to start a youth community group at the college.
We have distributed monies this month to the Angel Fund to finance YMCA Holiday Camps; to help a student finance her post graduate studies in Zimbabwe and a grant to assist a local youth to attend the Blue Light Skills Programme.
